Opportunity to provide feedback on BWSR’s Nonpoint Priority Funding Plan
The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) is preparing to release the 2024 Nonpoint Priority Funding Plan (NFPF) in the coming months. This plan aims to articulate clear priorities for using Clean Water Funds, maintain a commitment to optimize implementation at the major watershed scale, and signal a vision for a resilient future with a continuous improvement mindset.
The NFPF represents a shared vision for Minnesota state agencies that use Clean Water Funds for nonpoint source implementation consistent with the Clean Water Legacy Act. Agencies may use the NFPF to develop budgets, inform program requirements, raise the profile of nonpoint source implementation in grant funding requests, and evaluate accomplishments.
The draft plan was developed in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, the Minnesota Department of Health, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the Minnesota Pollution Control agency, and the Metropolitan Council.
BWSR is seeking feedback from potentially interested and affected parties before the plan is finalized and published. Please feel free to comment on the NFPF via this survey. Comments will be accepted through Aug. 12, 2024.
